My Gadgets
I have a fondness for gadgets and mobile technology. Here are some of the cool toys I own or have owned
Current gadget I must buy: a new smartphone, either Symbian, Windows Mobile or maybe a Palm Pre.
Current Gadgets
- Palm Treo 650 - GSM version running on Vodafone NZ
- Asus eee PC 901 - currently running Windows 7 Beta
- My desktop - 2.7GHz AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 5200+, 2GB RAM, 1TB storage running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid
- A handful of older (2+ years) laptops running XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu.
- Garmin eTrex - basic handheld GPS - used for geocaching
Gadgets I have owned
- Nokia 6600 - Very nice Symbian Series 60 smartphone. Sadly the keypad died for no apparent reason
- Asus eee PC 701 - Initial model, screen was too small so I traded for a real laptop
- iRiver PMP-120 - Very feature-packed portable media player. Sold it, never should have.
- HTC Falcon - Windows Mobile 2003 PDA phone - bulky but did the job - however died after a fall from belt holster
